Privacy Policy

Home Hub is a free app for household coordination. This policy describes how we handle your information when you use it.

Information we collect

  • From Google sign-in: We receive and store your account id, email, name, and profile picture so you can sign in and be identified in your household.
  • Data you create: Your household and the people in it, chores, grocery and other lists, recipes and meal plans, budgets, transactions, goals and imported statements, vault documents, and the preferences you set in the app.
  • File uploads: Photos, recipe images, bank statements, and vault documents you upload are stored to provide those features.
  • Access requests:If you ask for access, we store the email, name, household type, and note you give us, plus a one-way hash of your network address to stop spam. Approved or declined requests are kept so we don't ask twice; ask us and we'll delete yours.

How we use it

We use this information only to provide the app: authentication, household features, and storage. We do not sell your data. The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics.

Where it's stored

Your household data and the files you upload are stored on the servers that run Home Hub.

Third parties

Sign-in is provided by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy. The companies that host the app and store its data also process information as needed to run the service.

AI features (reading a vault document, importing a recipe or statement, answering a question you ask) send only the text or file that request needs to Anthropic to process it, under Anthropic's privacy policy. They run only when you ask.

Your choices

You can stop using the app at any time. You may request an export or removal of your account, household data, or access request. If you have an account, send that from the feedback button in the app. Otherwise, include it in a note when you request access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
